To conserve copper for use in ammunition during World War II, the composition of the United States cent was temporarily changed.  This historic collection includes the 1943 zinc-coated steel Lincoln Penny and 1944, 45 and 46 struck from salvaged brass shell casings.  Comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
