Description

Issued for just one year at the height of World War II, the 1943 Lincoln steel penny freed up precious copper for America's war effort. It was made from low grade carbon steel, with a zinc coating deposited electrolytically to prevent rusting. The Lincoln Wheat-Ear Penny is the first U.S. minted coin to honor an American President. The Lincoln Cent obverse was designed by Victor D. Brenner. The first cent, to have the motto In God We Trust, is the focus of this elegant pocket knife. The 3.75 inch stainless steel bladed knife is the perfect gift for an outdoorsman, coin collector or Mr. Fix It. The knife with beautifully designed American Bald Eagle and American Flag measures 8.5 inches long by 1.13 inches wide. It easily fits into a pocket and is 4.75 inches when folded closed. The pocket knife comes in a blue pouch and includes a Certificate of Authenticity. Mint marks and years will vary.
