Chief U.S. Mint Engraver Frank Gasparro created the distinctive profile of America's 34th President. Leader of the victorious forces in Europe during World War II, Eisenhower rode his wave of popularity as a war hero to become President of the United States. The dollar's reverse depicts a majestic eagle landing on the moon with the earth in the background. The coin has been layered in 24-Karat Pure Gold, then colorized through a proprietary process to commemorate man's first landing on the moon. Housed in a protective capsule and placed inside a collector's display box. A Certificate of Authenticity is included.
