The coins in this collection have one thing in common. They're the only non-gold coins struck in the twentieth century that didn't contain the motto "In God We Trust." Many Christians appealed to the government to include this phrase on circulating coins, but it wasn't until July 1955 that it became mandatory on all coins and paper currency. Your set includes an 1859-1909 Indian Head Cent, 1913-1938 Buffalo Nickel, 1892-1916 Silver Barber Dime and 1883-1912 Liberty Nickel all in a vinyl-covered folder with narrative and Certificate of Authenticity.
