Description

America's Last Solid .900 Fine Silver Dollar and Last-Issue Large Size Silver Certificate. These beautiful specimens are the last of their kind. Issued from 1921 to 1935, the Peace Dollar is the last Solid .900 Fine Silver Dollar ever struck for circulation by the U.S. Mint. It's also the last of the big "Cartwheel" dollars, so named for their heavy rims. The rare $1 Silver Certificate is from the fifth and last issue of large U.S. Silver Certificates, of the series of 1923. It's also the last of America's Large Notes, popularly known as "Horseblankets." In 1928, to save money, this magnificent "Horseblanket" was replaced in circulation by small-sized notes. These early 20th-Century dollars are masterpieces in the art of engraving, and a rare and beautiful addition to any collection.
