Red Seal Notes, also called Legal Tender Notes are United States Currency. Red Seal Notes were commonly referred to as Greenbacks and were issued to help pay for the Civil War. Red Seal Notes were issued in $1, $2, $5, and $100 denominations. The U.S. Red Seal Note Currency Collection contains both the $2 and $5 notes. The notes are displayed in a protective vinyl portfolio and include a Certificate of Authenticity.
